BILD confirms AC Milan talks for Bayern midfielder Ryan Gravenberch
The German newspaper confirms AC Milan’s serious interest in Ryan Gravenberch who is looking to leave Bayern Munich.
AC Milan will undergo a total makeover in midfield. Sandro Tonali has left to join Newcastle in a record breaking deal while Ismael Bennacer will return to the pitch in the beginning of next year. So the lasting duo of last season has been disbanded. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has arrived from Chelsea but at least two more midfielders will be signed to complete the department.
Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla reported in AC Milan’s interest in Bayern Munich talent Ryan Gravenberch. Today, German newspaper BILD confirms that the Rossoneri are seriously in the race for Gravenberch who could leave the Bundesliga giants after only one season in search of regular playtime elsewhere.
According to BILD, Gravenberch is open to join AC Milan. The 21-year-old Netherlands international would accept a transfer to the Serie A club in order to showcase again his talent. Gravenberch emerged as one of the most highly rated young players at Ajax making over 100 official appearances despite his young age.
Bayern Munich won the competitive race for Gravenberch’s services and purchased him for €18.5 million last year. Now Bayern are asking AC Milan a fee of €35 million in order to sell Gravenberch. Twice as much what they paid for him one year ago. AC Milan will not meet Bayern’s price tag but the Italian continue to negotiate.
The Dutch midfielder earned comparison to Paul Pogba during his Ajax days for their similar style of play. Despite his height, Ryan boosts excellent technique and can give a big helping in attack through goals and assists for his teammates. A loan with option or obligation to buy could convince Bayer to let their gem leave especially since Gravenberch has been quite vocal about his desire to play regular football next season.
